Adjustable float gauge for Briggs and Stratton
For optimal engine performance the float level in your carburetor is a critical setting. This gauge allows you to measure and set the float level.
Float lever is responsible for controlling how much fuel is maintained in the float bowl. There are many different theories on what it should be set to. We have heard numbers anywhere from .820" to .875". Therefore the float level side of the gauge is adjustable. You can set it to whatever you want. Some recommendations are:
Adult motors using a short black slide, set at .860" to .870". Kid kart using red, green, and blue slide set at .900".
The Float Level adjustment is made by turning the carb upside down and bending the tab that rests on the float needle. See included instructions.
